Play Sport4Life Sponsors Norway Parks Soccer Club

The Norway Parks Athletic Football Club was established in 1934 and took its name from Norway Road in Maitland.

Before the formation of the club, young men from the immediate vicinity formed informal teams and challenged others coming from the surrounding areas of Kensington, Windermere, Garden Village and Brooklyn to matches on Sunday afternoons.

Today the team plays in the Cape Town Tygerberg District and is affiliated to South African Football Association (SA.F.A.) Cape Town. The club has five senior Teams (90 members) and nine junior teams ranging from under-7s to under-17s (137 members).

PS4L decided to sponsor new kit for the Norway Parks Football club because the objectives of the club are aligned with our organisation’s objectives to develop sport in the Kensington, Factreton and Maitland areas.

PS4L will be providing some equipment and coaches for the under-14 team of the club and will assist with the organisation of the 80th Anniversary Ball in October 2014.
