PS4L HELPS ELAN POLO SHOE COMPANY PUT A SPRING IN STEP OF 416 KEN-FAC LEARNERS

More than 400 learners in the Kensington area had something to smile about last week when they were each given a brand new pair of shows from an international shoe company.

Play Sport4Life, a non-profit organisation that works in the area, was given the pleasant task of distributing the pairs of shoes to the grateful children.

The gift was possible through the generosity of international shoe company Elan Polo.

Elan Polo manages several international brands, each representing the company’s product expertise in the performance sport, casual lifestyle, slippers, men’s fashion, and children’s categories.

The head of Play Sport4Life, Miles October, said distributing the shoes was one of the more heart-warming tasks his organisation has undertaken in the time it has been doing community work in the area.

“There are many families who are struggling in areas like Factreton and Windermere,” October said. “For them the priority is putting food on the table.”

“Elan Polo’s gesture would be gratefully accepted because most shoes for school kids don’t come cheaply and Elan Polo’s products are among the best available.”

The three schools chosen to receive the brand new shoes were Factreton Primary, WD Hendricks and Windermere Primary.

“We at Play Sport4Life appreciate Elan Polo’s gesture. We fervently hope that other company’s can follow their example, particularly in the winter months when the cold can be harsh for people in need,” October said.

This year marks not just another chapter in our journey, but the beginning of our second decade of service to our communities. Looking back at our first ten years, I am amazed at how far we’ve come and excited about where we’re heading. When we started PlaySport4Life in 2014, we had a simple yet powerful vision: to enrich lives through education and sport.
