JUNE 16TH YOUTH DAY EVENT

FIDELITY, PS4L FOOTBALL MAGIC PROGRAM AND HEART FM PARTNERSHIP FOR JUNE 16TH YOUTH DAY EVENT

TOP NETBALLERS AND SOCCER STARS SHOW OFF SKILLS AT JUNIOR TOURNAMENT

Fidelity Security Services, Heart FM and Play Sport4Life’s The Football Magic Program have partnered to sponsor and coordinate a netball and football tournament for boys and girls, who play U11 and U14. The event will be held at the Phillip Lahm Sports field in Philippi, Cape Town.

The event is scheduled to start at 9am and will run throughout the day. An entry fee of R100 per team will be charged. Registration for teams close on the 27TH MAY 2019 and works on a ‘first come first serve’ basis. We urge schools and local teams to register as soon as possible to secure their spot, as it is going to fill up at a rapid rate and we wouldn’t want you to miss out because of poor time management.

Athletes from The Magic FC will do skills drives on the day among many other sport personalities including ex Bafana players. Khris Njokwana, previous Guiness Book of Records holder for controlling a ball dropped from the highest level will also be participating in the event.

ABOUT PS4L AND THE MAGIC FC

Play Sport4Life is a non-profit organisation in Cape Town that focuses on encouraging healthy lifestyles in communities through sport. The programs promote physical education at schools in disadvantaged communities, aiming to eradicate crime, unemployment, substance abuse, gangsterism and many other social ills the communities are faced with daily.

Since March 2018, The Football Magic Program has become PS4L’s official soccer education program. This partnership allows PS4L to place additional football coaches at schools in these communities as well as supplying kit and equipment.

This year marks not just another chapter in our journey, but the beginning of our second decade of service to our communities. Looking back at our first ten years, I am amazed at how far we’ve come and excited about where we’re heading. When we started PlaySport4Life in 2014, we had a simple yet powerful vision: to enrich lives through education and sport.
